The highlight of our current edition is the revelation that after being thought scrapped in 1953 at Browns Lane, C-Type XKC001 is alive and well.
The story has been very well received, and we follow it up in edition #213 with images of the original body today, what happened to it, who owns it and the proof of its continuous unbroken line of existence.
For the first time right here are comparison images of the body at Le Mans in 1951 – and as it is today. It remains as repaired for Duncan Hamilton in 1953 following a massive crash in Portugal. Hence the odd shape to the grille and lack of bars.
Real Jaguar history is being rewritten.
