We have just spoken to Dan Milligan, the sole owner of the 1988-built US XJR-S prototype, showcar and the vehicle which was used by Tom Walkinshaw to homologate the model there, and he revealed he is seriously considering selling the car.
If you are looking for an enjoyable, unique and historic collector’s Jaguar which is not beyond reach – this one is right up there.
He fell in love with the XJR-s when he first saw it early in 1990, and having been told by Jaguar Inc (US) that it was a prototype car, some weeks later acquired the only such vehicle then in the United States – he got it directly from Jaguar.
Remarkably, Dan has driven it for less than 250 miles in nearly 33 years, but always had it perfectly maintained whilst in storage.
It’s full story and the contact points for Dan will be in our next edition of Jaguar Magazine.
