It was a thrill to publish our cover story in the current magazine which revealed the very first C-Type created, raced at Le Mans in 1951 and ’52 and which was used to develop Dunlop’s racing disc brakes – lives on.
In our coming edition we speak with the owner of the body, who didn’t know what he had purchased in 2012 and was not a Jaguar owner before then. We endorse the revelation with compelling new images and statements from those who knew the car fifty and even more years ago.
The chassis is in Surrey, the second bonnet in Switzerland and the body we know so well from 1951 Le Mans images is owned by Roy Palmer in England. Put it all together and you have the total untampered with XKC001.
Sceptics will be sceptics, but the truth as we reveal it is fact.
